Marshall, Dedwards and such..

((Wrote this last night but blogger was down.))


So many things are spinning through my head right now.

First off, this summer I got invited to come back and work with our marching band as staff..Until the news broke that our band director/mentor/friend was moving to our rival school :( He held a meeting today with parents and the kids to explain why he was leaving and to say goodbye, and it was one of the saddest things I have ever experienced. Almost everyone in the room cried. Even the boys, and the parents. Especially all of the 8th grade girls...they were heartbroken...
I don't really know what to say now. He gave a speech, we all cried some more. He had great reasons for leaving, so there is no like, hatred or anything...Gah. I just wish it was back to normal.. He is one of the smartest people I have ever met. He was my mentor..I went to him with huge issues that I was having and he helped every time. Alright, I have to stop talking about it or I'll start crying again. It's mostly watching people cry though, like my colorguard family, that killed lol. Next topic! Makemestop!

I'm just going to preface this one by saying..I am poor folk. Lol. And, when I applied to Marshall University, I don't know where my head was. Found out about an hour ago that all summer I have been reading the financial aid screen wrong...Instead of getting 13k per semester, 13k is the total for the year in financial aid that I can get. (Cost of attendance is 22k.) Like many people, my single mother did not set up any college fund for me, so I absolutely cannot cover the rest without taking out private loans, which I refuse to do!! Like my use of commas? Lol.
Ok, so what do I do now? I think that I am going to apply to Shawnee. Shawnee. Not a bad school! Closer to home, still in the middle of nowhere.. But there's a small problem. The Nursing program is filled and they're not accepting applications until next year. Oh noez! So, I think I will have to waste another like freakin buttload of money to go undecided for a year, then join their program (associates, not bachelors, which is crap) next year. Wahhh :( Maybe I'm just being a baby but this is my future we're talking about! I'm getting flustered so, I will be back with hopefully a more cheerful update soon. Where's my Tylenol?

Alright, writing time again! Woo!
Tonight I'm going to Heather's house. This is not a new thing for me. My small group of best friends and I have been going to Heather's house at least twice a month for years now! We call it a "Heather's Night". "Are we having a heather's night tonight?" Lol. Ah, I love it.. So, one of the very first Heather's Nights ever, we started the tradition of making skits! Thats right, old fashioned video recorded, scripted (sorta) skits. Our very first skit turned out just awesome. We were in a dance-scene-club thing, and a love story went down, and *someone* becomes a killer and starts killing off the girl's friends one by one. Pretty gruesome huh? Gruesomeawesomeness! Lol.. but since then, we've made a few different skits, some completed while some not, (it depended on how tired we were.) I think one was about Lady Gaga warriors, our most recent unfinished one was about some more killers at night (but it was good hehe) and then there was this one, about finding a talisman, or medallion, whatever. This is just a blooper, but the only thing we have online :D

Can't believe I'm just finding this video!! Favorite band since 6th grade! Their songs get weird, but I will never stop loving them for being themselves. Especially when you throw in that genius of a man Gerard Way♥ I know every band member, and each of their life stories. Yeah, they're another obsession. Lol. I have listened to their songs on repeat so many times. I know every word to every song on their last two albums. I'm not the biggest fan of the "story" they created for the most recent one, but I like the music for the most part. Favorite songs have to include:

MINECRAFT POST--WILL BE LONG :D

Minecraft. MINECRAFT. I could never explain the addictive ability of this game. Countless hours were spent in a randomly generated world full of blocks, creating anything I could dream up!! I did not make this, but thought I would share it XD The things you can do...

My brother got me addicted to this game a few months back while I was still in school. I would sit in class and just think up things to make! The point of the game is kinda complicated. You're this character, and some like to imagine you are lost in the wilderness (cause there're trees n such.) You have to start out by running to find trees, gathering supplies, making tools, and then you have to hurry and mine for things to make a shelter out of. Why, you ask? Because of creatures like these! Haha!





There are zombies and walking skeletons with bow n arrows, and spiders and these seriously scary things called Creepers.



Ok that's not really in game but for the minecrafters, I would seriously doodie in my pants if I saw this in my backyard, wouldn't you? LOL

But yeah. You can build amazing things in minecraft, it's all about creativity. There's even multiplayer, which is what I play on with my friends Jeffrey and Jillian! And sometimes my brother and his friend, when when they feel up to it ;)

Minecraft is the best game I've ever played, hands-down. If you haven't played it, well I would say go make an account but you have to buy the game first.. for around $20 :/ I don't know why there is no trial or anything. Trust me when I say, this game is worth every penny. Been playing almost everyday since I got it! Which was like five months ago? Anyway. Oh. It's also coming out for xbox. In like December. I will prob get an xbox just to play it :P Ok, I'm getting too excited, I want to go play! Adios :)

Adam Levine! At his best folks =]

Ahh. Maroon 5 =] One of my favorite bands. Not at obsession level but I just love their sound! My mom and I have many conversations about them, probably because they're one of the only bands we both like. (My mom's into the oldies, and while I like my share of the classics, I'm more of an alternative kind of gal)(Which really I like all kinds of music but we won't go there cause I'll start ranting again! Haha) I'm in love with Adam Levine's voice, among other things, and this song just throws it out there! The video is just hilarious too. Like someone said in the comments "She's a female chuck norris!" Alright, to the video!

Tornado Warning for Scioto County! Ewieeee

So, I found out through facebook that we had a warning. The first person I go a-lookin for? My Mamaw of course! She was on her evening walk, which made me worry a bit. My mamaw, you see, is not the kind of person to run home when she sees some thunderclouds. Noobuddy. She will trump right through rain and hail and well, yeah, probably a tornado. So's I must go save her! 

Long story short (cause it really isn't a story..lol): Call mom, look out window, call mom again, freak out a bit, run outside, only to find her sitting on the backporch :) Got tired and came in early. Love you Mamaw!!

On the flipside. We'll it's not really flipped, but we'll go with it. Here's my randomness coming out.. :P

Torrnados. Hehe. Lovely creatures ain't they? Ah, Hagrid, RIP.. Lol but anyway. Seriously. I fear tornadoes ripping my house to shreds as much as the next guy.. but at the same time, they're so just darn gorgeous aren't they? I would almost venture far enough to call them intelligent.. not in the literal sense but you know.
When I was little I was traumatized by a couple of tornado scares in the area. I grew up in Dayton, next to Xenia OH (AKA Tornado-Land.) My mom would freak out, and consequently, I would too! I would shake like a leaf and sob for hours :/ I used to not be able to watch tornados in videos, I was so scared. I was even scared of the drain tornado in the bathtub (still am, to be honest.) Since then though, through research I fell in love with them and for awhile wanted to be a storm chaser! :)

First Post! :D

I've never been a writer. I can think things in my head, but putting them down on paper? I'm terrible at it! So, these literally will be my ramblings haha :) I want to post pictures, videos, songs, and a random rant here or there, just make this an outlet for my dorkiness. I would just use facebook but I get kinda annoyed with people who post too much info. So, here goes!

I'm Olivia. I just graduated from a tiny little school with a class of around 40. It's summer, and I'm working at an ice cream shop. Headed to Marshall University in the fall, and I'm a little worried cause I won't know a single person! Have a brother, mother, mamaw and dad who I love and will talk about a lot. Also a close group of friends who are a little crazy but are my everything :) Yes my world is small, but my mind is endless! =) You'll be seeing a ton of probably "out there" topics, and if one bores you, just ahem, don't read it.
